It was like a blast from the past walking into the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore for Charla and John’s wedding. The bronze statues out front could probably be considered historic. Because I think every kid that grew up within 200 miles of the Zoo has a childhood photo at that very spot.
Charla and John had a pretty chilly (actually frigid) elopement in Vermont in January. Then chose to celebrate with their friends and family back home. After an amazing engagement session with Charla and John in the fall, I knew we were going to have a fabulous time at their wedding reception. Although we had temps in the 30’s, we had smiles plastered on our faces all day! Charla and John are such a sweet couple! It was wonderful being able to capture the two of them just being themselves and in love <3 Walking through the flamingos, the penguins and even adventuring through the old unused part of the zoo was magical to top it off! We even took a second to play on the carousel 🙂
At the reception we had a lovely conversation with a very talkative kookaburra. Later we were visited by a hungry little penguin named Lilly…which was very fitting as the couple’s last name is Lilley!
